Dual Core Atom: Intel D945GCLF2 & Atom 330 Review - PAGE 7
William Henning - Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

WinRAR

The Atom 330 based D945GCLF2 gives some interesting results with the multi-threaded WinRAR benchmark.

First of all, it is 45% faster than its single core Atom 270 cousin; and it shows that multi-threading does help it a lot as disabling hyper threading causes a big performance hit.

Of course the E8500 is much faster.

HDTach

The Atom 330 based D945GCLF2 does very well for the SATAII HDTach benchmark, coming in only 5.8% slower on burst reads, and 0.3% slower on average reads - frankly that is within experimental error, and while it used 2% cpu compared to the E8500, that is still quite low processor utilization.
