To gauge the cooling performance of the Cooler Master V6 GT, I will be using an Intel i7 920 at both stock and overclocked levels. For the idle temperatures all programs will be shut down and the results will be recorded after 20 minutes, and for load temps I will be using Prime95. The program will run for 15 minutes before temperatures are gathered with RealTemp. To ensure proper performance between all models the ambient temperature will be maintained at 72°F (22.2°c)
Testing Setup
- Processor : Intel Core i7 920
- Motherboard: MSI X58 Platinum
- Video Card : ATI HD 5870
- Hard Drive : Seagate 7200.11 1.5TB
- Power supply: Enermax Galaxy 1000w
- Operating System : Microsoft Windows 7 Pro

The Cooler Master V6 GT's results were very respectable with the fans set at auto, as it managed to beat out the Noctua heatsink at both stock, and overclocked levels. However, once the fan speed was increased the V6 GT was the best cooler out of all the comparison models.

Great cooler too, beating the TRUE is no easy task. It would be awesome if it could do it on auto settings as well.
Thanks!
It retails for $69.99. Ouch! But that price does get you the cooler and both fans.
It's a nice chunk of change but it performs well enough to be priced at $70.
