quote Corsair Dominator article
However, for the processor to be as close as possible to stock, the overclocked settings of the Corsair memory sticks obligated it to be downclocked a tiny bit. [...] The increase in memory performance could not counter it. If I had increased the CPU multiplier a notch, we would have got the inverse; an artificially low compression time not representative of what the memory influenced.
Overall WinRAR was not a very great benchmark for this particular case.

It's "AMD optimized" so how would it compare to use in an lga1156 system? Would there really be a noticable difference in anything?

It really depends on the sticks. I don't know about these ones in an Intel system, but just before I had the occasion to try a 7-7-7-20 1600MHz optimized for the P55 platform in my AMD test setup. It would not POST at these settings; I had to set the CAS to 8 instead of 7. That AMD optimized kit runs wonderfully well at 7-7-7-20.
