Terren Tong - Wednesday, November 12th, 2003

Performance -

The AK97D-400Max did well against similiar Nforce2 boards. It was not the fastest nForce2 implementation we have but it consistently placed highly on benchmarks.

The Chaintech has about the same lead over the AK79D as the AK79D has over the Gigabyte

The AK79D takes the lead solidly in memory bandwidth benchmarks

The multimedia benchmarks are kind of a mixed bag.

The AK79D has a significant lead over the other two boards.

The AK79D shows its memory bandwidth prowess while the Gigabyte holds onto the CPU score lead

Comanche scores are quite close together but the AK79D once again has a slight edge

Interestingly, the Chaintech takes the lead again at 1024 when Quake3 is CPU bound. Scores tighten significantly at 1600x1200

The AK79D scores well again here only losing the lead by a slight margin at 1600x1200
