it hurts to have your expectations crushed so many times by sega, then to be told this is a reboot of the franchise.... to kinda quote the avgn... we've waited 16 years for this game, but it turns out it's kinda been like waiting 16 years for a buffalo to take a dump on your face... it's such a let-down.... frustrating control flaws, targeting system is AWFUL, it's just an updated sonic 1 with crappy controls and nice graphics, let's not get into how frustrating the special stages are.... (HAD TO VENT!!)

Is like if they forgot how to develop a good video game... Didn't these guys make Sonic Rush? If so, how could they screw up like that? I played through it, and deleted it shortly afterwards. Crappy game for crappy fanboys.

Edit: Mind if I link to my review? Or would you guys prefer strictly professional reviews?

Epic disappointment, I'd rather live through the horribly upscaled visuals off my Genesis instead. :/

The game was terrible. After the Sonic 06 disaster, they made a bad name for themselves. When they finally released games like Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations, I had my faith in them restored. And then this train wreck happens.

Each stage is filled with frustrating gimmicks of their own. Splash Hill is at first, a Green Hill clone, but made with cheap shot enemies, cheaply placed spikes, etc. The platforming was repetitive, the vine swinging was atrocious, Sonic controlled poorly compared to their other games, and the boss was a rip off of the Green Hill Boss.

Casino Street Zone has a combination of cards that will flip you off (literally), and bottomless pits galore. There are cannons that can end up shooting you into the excessive amount of bumpers, or the floor, which is mostly covered in spikes. The boss is another ripoff, with more things added to make the fight brutal and unfair.

Lost Labyrinth Zone...Do I even need to explain? I'd almost rather play Sonic 06 than go through this level. It is that bad. The boss is another ripoff, with another agonizing twist.

Don't ask me about the other 2 zones. After Lost Labyrinth, I said screw this! Nothing about this game is enjoyable, and a majority of it seems like Sonic Generations, except without the fun and originality. This game isn't worth 5 dollars, let alone the 15 that it costs.
