Capcom seem to be on fire in regards to their PC ports. This looks as flawless as Resident Evil 5 does, even better that the game can even run on a 6600. You don't need anything to rock out the tournament, I could play this on the PC I gave to my mum.

Having been banging-out Marvel vs Capcom 2 lately, this review reminds me of how conflicting the gamestyles are, and I've come to miss the new Street Fighter's less combo/assist-spam/dash-and-speed and instead more thought-taxing and cautious approach. I definitely need to get this game again, yet I'm unsure whether I'll be hitting the 360 or PC version.

Game aside, really good review. Concise, detailed; good read.

Dead on review, if I may so so myself.

Dead on about the controller, also.. Damn game is hard to use a Keyboard with. ¬¬

Definately be picking up Resi 5, if it's as good of a port as this.

Funnily enough, I passed the article on not soon after it was written . This is the main thing that's possibly fighting me to bother getting it on PC instead...but really, is a naked Cammy worth the lack of my Xbox Live buddies? Unsure, still.

Nice, thanks!
I don't care about the nude mods.
The lack of cross-platform play is unfortunate, but eh. There are plenty of people playing the PC version though.
Other benefits are higher resolutions and shaders.
Either version would do you well, though.

I didn't really just mean nude mods, haha, just more the skinning popularity in general. All I really want is the Charlie skin which you have to buy anyway. Having bought all of the skins on Playstation 3 already makes things even more frustrating admittedly. Next time I'm possibly limiting myself to the Brawler Pack and the shoto pack, whatever it's called.

...rambling.

But yeah, I've still got the Playstation 3 copy to trade in and halve my cost. Will probably have more effect on the cheaper PC title though. I'm indecisive.

Just watched that video you linked though: the varying art styles are pretty awesome. Now I might end up with it on PC after all.

Hah! I was fighting Guile with Abel yesterday, and Abel's all 'that move, I recognize it', and Guile's all 'from whom? Where is he?' So I thought, "I didn't know Charlie was in this game.." But there ya go.

Personally I think $10 for a bunch of costumes is a major rip-off...I'm sticking to the mods, some of which are much better anyway.

Glad you liked it.

Ah yes, I remember that line. I hope in some awesome plot twist next game that Charlie is actually found out to be alive and rejoins the cast, he's easily one of my favourites. But yeah, if you buy the Guile alternative costume you basically get Charlie. Still the same ridiculous hair though. Sadly not his own individual character.

I think the biggest justification for the price of the skins is that we should support Capcom for being fully supportive of the modding scene.

Yeah..I don't get that notion. No one ever gave money before for mod support -- it'd be more appropriate if Capcom asked for donations.
Mods ARE the support from the community end -- that's the point (i.e. supporting modding, people make mods, more people buy your game and future games cause of modding).

Oh I know, I just meant more for the sake that they're openly encouraging it rather than just shutting it down. Either way it is pretty expensive haha.

Yeah, I understand. I just feel buying the game is all the support I should be encouraged to give them, I guess. I mean, if the DLC was actually GOOD, sure..

Yeah, I checked out the price after -- $14.50 CAD. What the *bleep*. It's worse cause that's completely devaluing their own game; it's saying a bunch of stinkin' costumes are 1/3 as valuable as the game itself.

I'm a complete sucker for completely aesthetic things . I love having different costumes and especially differen't characters as skins or even just loads of characters even if they're clones (Super Smash Bros). I don't know why, that's one of the biggest lures of Fighting Games for me -- I just love quantity. So I'll probably get them again regardless of price, haha.

This. In my fighting games, having a huge roster and unlocking characters is one of my biggest joys in fighting games.
