Few questions:

Regarding the "World", will you see other players in their vehicles as you drive around or something like their name or an orb like with Fable 2?

Are all online players in a single World or will there be individual servers with a player max, say 50?

Release date?

Yep, you see their name when you get close.

Not exactly sure how the servers work, but I assume it's divided up and you're automatically added to a given server upon entering the world. It feels populated and balanced, anyway.

It's been out about a week now (sorry, couple things pushed the review back). You can get it now through world.needforspeed.com. They just released another patch so it's good timing.

Wait, this is 100% free? When you mentioned free to play in your review I understood you just buy the game and there's no online fees!

It's free to play/download and then there are microtransactions to further the experience. Progression stops at level 10 though you can keep playing as is if you don't mind that.

The game isn't bad, but it does have its kinks.

Are there any new cars added into the system? Making the cops more intelligent this time definitely adds up to my excitement.

I've actually played with the classic NFS Hot Pursuit version and so far ended up being "MOST WANTED" most of the time. Obviously, the previous cops weren't programmed with such high intelligence, that's why it was kinda easier for me to get away from them during a pursuit. Now, I bet it's going to be more challenging!

they couldve made this into a perfect game but if they did they wouldve lost a lot of income

I don't think making the game better or perfect would mean a loss to the company. Isn't it the opposite? Of course, many would surely love to play it because it's made a perfect game. And more people playing it likewise means more gain to the game company, in this case, EA.

While this is clustered as free game, EA would still find some ways to generate profit from it. And this is likely one reason as to why micro-transactions will be integrated into this game by then.

well look at it at this perspective
if this game was perfect, do you think their not-free titles have sold just as well as they are doing now?
i actually forgot why i quit the game.. but if i hadn't and still am playing it (pimping my AE86 corolla and shit), i wouldn't buy the other NFSes at all..

Liked the idea of the game, an MMO based on NFS with Carbon and Most Wanted maps combined. But damn... 200,000 credits on a E-Class car? Hell no!
I still play that game and it's so fun. The thing is that most of the players have E or D class cars (upgraded or not) and they can't drive any other car like a Ford Mustang or Shelby, Gallardo, etc. They should make "Daily Race" where that race is only for a day and next day it disappears.
