Tis a fun game, sorta. I wasn't too impressed with the racing aspect of it when i played the beta, but the creation dynamics were pretty slick.

Sounds great, a bit worried about the loading times problem, but if that's the only fault I'll deal with it. Gonna pick this up.

Yep thats pretty much the only problem i've come across so far, and those are to be fixed in a future patch so its all good

One thing they could have mentioned is that while in the creation studio you can take a picture of your mod's, karts and tracks. And unlike some game like MCLA where you have to sign up to something on the net, the photos from MNR are saved directly to the PS3. It's not a huge feature but it's useful and i hope more games implement it.

Surely you're exaggerating a bit there Kik? In the demo loading took about 30 - 40 seconds. I don't remember it ever being 2 minutes.

Longest load time I've had was a few seconds past a minute (I counted 1 min 4 sec). Still, it is a noticeable length when you're used to immediate loads.

I enjoyed the review, haha. I should hopefully have one of my own up soon. ^___^

I thought I read somewhere that they plan on fixing the load times, don't know by how much, with an update at some point.

The PS3 demo is scheduled to hit the PlayStation Store on May 18th, while the full game launches May 25th for the US and the 21st for the UK.

Hopefully this will be fixed by the time I get it. Which might be sooner than expected, really itching to get this game, but I have to beat FFXIII first and get close to the platinum trophy!!

I had fun playing the demo, but I'm don't think the actual racing element was that good from what I've seen. It doesn't really affect my decision to purchase it or not, as I can't afford to. >_>

I'm definetly getting it. I love customization but hated LBP so this should be the one for me. I created a track on the demo where you drift for about 10-15 seconds round this huge car park-resembling spiral. Here's a pic, and it was incredibly easy to do.



Also notice the quality of the pic, it was taken with the in-game camera. It saves the photos in your pics on the XMB, no signing up to things on the net, no nonsense.

Looks like fun SYH. Hopefully you end putting some things on the side to make it look a little better though.

Indeed, the track design thing was pretty slick. I loved putting farms to drive through on the track itself. It's a pretty fun little design system.

I will definitely pick this game up once the school year is over. I have too many projects, tests and quizzes to worry about at the moment. A few more weeks, and this game will be mine! Oh yeah!
