Part of the enjoyment is in the fact that it's a step back into platforming by reviving an old game with old mechanics. There's no reason to reward the player with simple gameplay and easy solutions. If there's no struggle then the $30 is easily blasted through with no full sense of accomplishment.

Doing the initial review I played the game as a speed run, it was frustrating as anything during those points. I came back one more time in the revision playing the game at an easier pace and found it more enjoyable overall and appreciated where it was going.

Reviews are entirely subjective, we're all from different backgrounds and have different thoughts on gaming. For me QTE and other systems are things that remove the challenge out of gaming and instead create a sense of urgency to involve the gamer. Platforming was always a source of frustration, if they bring it back to that era then more power to them.

Good review, nice to see there are some new extras. I'm surprised they revamped it and didn't just port the old one.
I still have this game for the Playstation, is it worth buying for the Wii? This is one of my favourite all time games. I liked the way they used to just make funny squeaks as they talked in the original, but I see they have given them actual voices in this game.
