Too harsh in my opinion, atleast a 7. Not older hitman like good, but still a solid game that I enjoyed

Maybe they'll take the hint and make it more blood-money like.

I played blood money again the other day, noticed the game had some sound issues.

I think 5/10 is harsh judging the game in it's own right, maybe deserved a 6 but when compared to Blood Money and how much I loved the Hitman series I think 5/10 is going easy.

It's just not a hitman game.

after playing this game i will say that it deserves at least 6.5.everything is fine with the game but some lvl are such pain in the ass it too diffcult to complete and something becomes boring to play.

I'm quite enjoying H:A. True, it's mot BM, but it takes me back.
That said, I look forward for the HD Collection.
They're releasing a HD Collection? This shall be beastly! (as long as it's not like the Silent Hill HD)

hitman 1 was the only hitman game i really, really enjoyed. but if this has turned into a cover-based shooter with only stealth elements (aka splinter cell conviction)... god no.

whats with all these franchises turning to shit? rainbow six, resident evil, splinter cell, hitman, flatout, front mission, etc etc; i mean, this gen brought some great new games, but ive never seen so many franchises murdered in the span of one generation

It really, really sound like they Splinter Cell: Conviction-ed it.
In terms of the cover system, it's very very similar to Splinter Cell. In fact, the stealthy element is a little more reminiscent of Splinter Cell than it is of any of the previous Hitman games. It's much better than any recent Sam Fisher games though, and even without the stealthy approach (going all guns blazing) the game is quite impressive.

Absolutely. H:A is aping quite a few "stealthy" action games -- I don't even think they're trying to hide it.

Any Splinter Cell fans who have played this game agree? Because reading the reviews, it sounds exactly the same.
(Stealth-based game franchise throwing its roots out the window for a more accessible action-heavy feel)

I think as far as enjoyability (yes that's a word now ) it's high...for me. But the AI is still too terribly predictable. And the worst thing I think that happened to this game is the fact that it became a little more linear. In Hitman, you are normally given the whole map to play with with all the tools you need, go do the mission any way out want. Here it is restricting you by the segment. I think that is really disappointing. There's a lot of things I like about this game but a lot of things that I am bummed about that they took out. There is less freedom in this game than any other Hitman.

Hmmmn, I honestly wanted a more polished version of Blood Money, now that was a game.

By all means, I'm glad you guys are finding more to enjoy in Hitman than I did. I believe in open and honest review practices. I waited a few days after finishing Hitman and then played more and still felt the same. I take every review seriously, and negative ones even moreso.

I certainly don't begrudge anyone their opinions. Don't feel like you have to hold back on talking about how much you enjoyed the game because I did not. It's not like I'm sitting around waiting to call people out on their points, haha. Considering how popular the game seems to be, I'm certainly in the minority.

If anything, I'd love to hear how you guys pulled off some of the ruder assassinations, to see if we had similar experiences.

Harsh review. I think 7 is more of a fair score for it. The issues I have with it are the AI and more importantly the disguise system. They really blew it on the disguise. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the game and glad it was made.
Mm, this sums it up for me too. Checkpoint system could've been better too but I'm very happy with the game. Contracts is great too.
