Athlon FX-62 Review - PAGE 6
William Henning - Wednesday, July 12th, 2006

Rightmark Latency

Ok. No point in mincing words.

For latency, the memory controller being integrated with the processor is a HUGE win.

It's not even close.

Out of 12 results, the top eight results are from AMD processors - and the bottom four from Intel processors.

The best Intel result is 39.96ns.

The best AMD result is 23.33ns

Enough said.

Or actually... not quite.

For all the talk about how larger latencies will penalize DDR2 - the top three spots are taken by DDR2 systems.

Rightmark Bandwidth

Things change a bit for "overall bandwidth".

The best results are obtained by the overclocked D 930 and D 840 systems, followed closely by the overclocked FX-62, then the stock FX-62.
