DOD:S is now available for Pre-load, I'm preloading it but I still don't think when it's released I'll be able to get it for free, and if that's true I'm not spending any money on it.

I don't understand your part about "it even says" that means nothing. Collectors Edition and Steam Gold & Silver Editions or even Bronze Editions are not the same thing.

Plain and simple Collectors Edition people like me and you don't get DOD:S for free which means I won't be getting it at all.

Everyone gets to pre-load DoD:S, im on bronze and i did look:

I got all the seperate games by buying em. Its only £9.88 to buy new on steam.

Its not like that, it goes by what package you have.
yeah I know, the 'normal' retail packages and the bronze-version have to preload it and than buy/pre-order thamselves and it'll cost them some money.
But people who bought the collectors retail-edition, or the gold- or silverpackage have already preordered DOD:S. In other words, they'll be able to upload it and play it on the official release without extra costs.

Im sure retail owners wont be able to play DOD:S and have to buy it seperate like me
Only if they got the normal (bronze) package

Anyway, I'm pre-loading it at this very moment, and I pre-ordered it a minute ago
Can't wait 'till the release, the 26th of september

EDIT: cool Mupet, I might buy all the other HL-games too someday. I bought the generation-pack which is supposed to have them all, but Steam won't accept my CDkey

Yeha i bought the HL generations pack and it gave me ALL the HL series inc CS1.6 and opposing force you know. I bought CSCZ seperately too.

P.S, If you have the collectors edition you DO NOT get DoD:S.

Wtf
Are you 100% sure... I believe it says so on the box.
Oh well, anyway, the release is about 11 days away from us. Has anyone played the original DoD? I didn't
I imagine it being kinda like Call of Duty...

He is right Hitman. Any retail version doesn't get it for free.

It's only $18 though, so I'm not too bummed.

To make it clear.

When you buy from retail you get a CD-KEY to register on steam right. If you bought the collectors edition or standard you still get the same type of key.

With steam, its not cd-keys, its accounts that give you access to games, not cd-keys.

Yes im 100% sure, im gonna pre-order my copy on steam soon.

I just got done screwing around by myself in a created server. Tried out all the classes n stuff. It's awesome, I love it. I never played DoD HL1, I was always a CS dude, but I have a feeling I'll be playing DoD: Source a lot.

Awesome graphics and sounds, sweet animations, cool levels.
Seems like an amazing game... much better than Call of Duty or MoH online play.

Yeah, I got it, but none of the normal servers worked for me. I created my own server and messed around a little bit. Seems pretty cool. Hopefully some good servers start popping up soon.

EDIT: Finally got to play on a normal server. This game is awesome. Kind of hard to get used to after playing cs:s though.

I've played it too, seems awesome so far... But I don't have a HUD at all! No crosshair, no ammo-thingy, not even a healthbar!
I thought it might be my resolution but it's the same as my desktop. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

EDIT: It seems to have fixed itself... and it's soo freaking cool
It reminded me of Call of Duty, mixed with a bit of mohaa and than there's this little touch that makes it DoD
Great game, truly worth the cash, maybe this will get me off CS
