I didn't watch this game very closely. Read an article here and there, and when I saw the commercial for it I decided to go ahead and check out some videos and actually look into it. Figured I had an extra 60 bucks so I picked it up release day, the gamestop clerk handed me the pre-order bonus stuff with the game even though I hadn't pre-ordered, and I have to say the game is amazing.

The simple fact that the go "Here is your objective, here is your mission area..... Get to it" and those are the only limits it puts on you are simply amazing. It feels amazing to stealth your way through one part flawlessly working your way undetected toward your objective, but then if and or when you are caught you can simply flee or cut your way through the enemy. I can't tell you the last time a game made me feel as much like a badass as when I silently snuck my way into the golden cat, got the safe combination, put the madam down with a non-lethal takedown, took her key found the capture ally and completely avoided even SEEING my main two targets to end the level with a non-lethal ending, all while brandishing that sick looking sword incase things got hairy.

How the game manages to be so linear and at the same time open ended and explorer friendly is beyond me and I recommend anyone with any affinity toward video games to buy it.

Such a good way to spend 60 bucks, now back to sneaking through the side streets and alleyways.

It is a pretty hard game, for a game where its easy to climb to rooftops it has insane falling damage so a mistimed blink will often kill you(as you surely have noticed)
And all enemys deal massive amounts of damage aswell
But that is a good thing aswell, the magic system is very good here
You arent overpowered, so there still is a real challenge

Slow time really help a lot when facing groups tough, always a very good spell in any game

I'd imagine with the amount of ways you can approach the game, quite significant.

Great review. The game is out tomorrow, but I won't be getting it for a while. Can't wait regardless!

Rune Ripper Basically what Dragoon said. Your actions affect the ending, so aside from trying different paths for fun, you can also see other endings based on different Chaos levels.

For every mission, i think i have at least 30 saves. 15 on 'Dishonored',30 on 'High officer Campbell', and 45 in 'House of Pleasure'. 20 saves and counting on the 'Royal Physician' mission.
