The D2 delivers on what it aims at, being a solid performer for the daily gamer on the go that gives solid delivery without a huge price tag, on top of that it carries some fashion appeal for those looking for matching setups. The only thing that really strikes a problem in that department is the dull finish on the unit, a lot of people hunt down the piano black DS and other systems for the visual appeal, while the other two sets seem to pull this off better, the black unit really doesn't get all the way down there to blend in.
There’s not a lot to knock when it comes to the performance, the audio is solid and it connects with no problems at all, the unit is powerful as far as DS portable headsets go and the mic is responsive, the headset slides into place with no issues and adjusts easily. Across the board the D2 is a great piece of hardware to own. Small drivers make for low power consumption with a good tonal range and the sensitive mic makes previously awkward talking situations a lot easier.
For those in the market for a new headset I’d suggest shopping around for the D2, it certainly offers a great punch for the money.
