Turtle Beach Earforce D2 Review - PAGE 1
Gabriel Vega - Friday, November 23rd, 2007

The Nintendo DS is a system that pretty much floats in a saturated market these days, accessories, skins, replacement stylus’ and more are pretty much the norm. Although in some cases these things end up being targeted at a youth market and result in older generations being out in the cold unless they sacrifice a bit of time really digging for some kind of alternative at a higher rate. Turtle Beach has stepped into the arena with the EarForce D2, an earphone set that comes to cater to the youth and even adult markets through smooth styling and nice color schemes.

The set is designed to be lightweight and yet strong enough to deliver solid stereo playback and give players a crisp mic system to break away from the normal 1ft barrier in speaking to the system in many cases. Dropping in with Pink, White and Black / Grey the units match up well with the previous offerings by Nintendo (although no word on the new units running around at this point). Our test unit was a retail box consisting of the headset and... the headset. No batteries required for the D2's so it's plug and go.

Given the simplicity of that, lets jump forward into the meat of things.
