Cool review. I can definetly see this winning the lion's share of the 'game of the year' awards, has there been a game released this year that has been as immaculately produced, in every category, as Batman: Arkham City?

I'm making this game my priority #1 on Black Friday. It better be on sale somewhere.

If I were a betting man, I would put serious cash down on Uncharted 3 winning Game of the Year.

Sadly, I might have to agree with you after I play it. Being as big of a Batman fan I am, I know Uncharted really brings something remarkable to the screen. Uncharted 2 is a beautiful game that I enjoyed immensely the 2 times I went through (though, oddly enough, never finished on Hard Mode).

I'll unfortunately not be getting it until Christmas, however.

From what I've heard it's quite an 'on-rails' adventure series but don't take my word for it, I really should get around to playing Uncharted sometime :/.

Not sure if this comment belongs here but there are some negative points in my opinion about Arkham City for PC players...........
1. The Ra's Al Ghul boss fight has a big bug in the game where Batman cannot drop his sword. WB technical support and Rocksteady were useless at resolving this for me. I finally had to find a home video on "You Tube" posted by someone, to resolve what to do about changing the settings before continuing play.
2. The checkpoints are too far between in the game. An example is the above issue. Replaying from the last checkpoint meant doing the boss fight with the desert men (about 30 times) which gets a bit tiresome repeating a hard fight. If Batman gets all men down in a hard fight(especially with those laser gun fights) and then gets killed by the last man standing, a player has to do it all over again. Constantly repeating previously accomplished parts of the game, and not being able to skip over hard bits is a minus for the game.
3. There is no manual for the game giving an outline of what to do. For instance, riddler has these riddler puzzles all over the game but a player does not know how to get them (if they are covered by a metal hatch) or if they can get them, what they then do? Do you have to get them as you go along or can Batman go back and pick them up later on????? More information is required.
4. Most days of play I had to go to "You Tube" and watch someone elses (always Xbox players)way they played the game prior to me playing on my PC. This was the only way I could follow what had to be done and the gadgets to use. Otherwise, I would not have a clue.
5. The Mr Freeze fight was another difficult challenge because no one advises there are 5 different ways to take down freeze on normal challenge. Once again I had to resort to "You Tube" to find this out.
On the positive side it is pretty clever how they do the Detective Mode and that depending on Batmans moves there are several possibilities as to how a player can take down the thugs. It is kinda...........addictive in that sense!!!!!!

Well, he's the Riddler, I'm sure you need to figure it out yourself how to get one.

And just like in Batman Arkham Asylum, sometimes you spotted a trophy, but there was no way to get them, until at one point you unlocked a gadget, then you remember that might be usefull for that particuler trophy you saw earlier.

In that game there was also no information if you can pick them up now or later.
Same as here, but it isn't hard to figure out that you can pick them up now if you can, or later if for some reason it seems impossible.

Actually at one point in the game, you are in the steel mill, and you went by an elivator showing a riddler Trophy, and it says that you can scan the trophy so it will show up on the map so you can pick it up later since you can't get to it currently with what you have.

So it kinda does have some information, but it's mostly up to the players to figure them out.

The Batcomputer uploads several techniques on how to take him down.
There are more then 10 ways to take him down.
On the highest difficulty you need to do almost if not all of those techniques to take him down, since he always adjust to everything you attack him with.

Stitch pretty much summed it up for you nicely. The Riddler challenges are supposed to bend your mind a little bit, and of course, you won't be able to get them all right off the bat. There's over 400 of them! You'll find, as you progress through the story, that there will ultimately be baddies walking the streets that you can interrogate. Doing so will show you on the map where some of the riddles are located. How to get them, however, will be on you to figure out. You're always welcome to come back and ask us, or one of several other places on the internet might have a guide, as well.

I posted a thread back near launch, where an app was released on Apple products showing the user every single location of the riddles/trophies and a brief summary on how to obtain them, as well as a check box. You might want to look into that, if you're willing to spend a couple extra dollars.

As far as Freeze, he should be a breeze on normal mode. I haven't yet encountered him on Hard mode, as I've slacked off from my 100%, but I'm not looking forward to it. I believe it was m2caldwell who posted a thread about how difficult he was on Hard mode and scared me a little

kik36 reviews Arkham City for us, and gives it a 10 out of 10. Yeah, it was that good.

Following on the heels of their critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum, developers Rocksteady are itching for another win with the latest installment Batman: Arkham City.

10 out of 10 for this crappy sequel? In that case, Uncharted 3 should've deservedly received 20 out of 10 from that same reviewer.
