The Mission
As one of the elite members of the Evolva organization, you are given use of a squad of genetically engineered killing machines called Genohunters. Control of your Genohunters comes through a third-person interface with the standard keyboard and mouse setup. Each Genohunter can be controlled independently, with the ability to give orders to other members of the team using a simple command feature. By default, the team moves together, following you wherever you lead them. There are four principal types of Genohunters, each with its own special abilities. The Agile Genohunter is able to outmaneuver his opponents while attacking them fiercely. The Speed Genohunter has the weakest armor of the group, but is much quicker than most of his foes. The Heavy Genohunter is the bulkiest and is designed for close combat with the enemy. Finally, the Intel Genohunter has a combination of speed and accuracy for scouting and harassing the enemy.
The main goal in Evolva is to destroy the Parasite and prevent if from spreading to other planets. In the process, you’ll also have the chance to encounter several indigenous life forms and acquire their genetic structures.
Additionally, there are environmental hazards on the planet to watch out for, but your Genohunters can adapt to these environments by killing native creatures and absorbing their DNA. Two types of genes can be gleaned from native and hostile life forms. Attribute genes allow your Genohunters to surmount the unique environmental conditions of the planet, while weapon genes supply your Genohunters with different abilities for striking at enemies. After killing indigenous or hostile life forms, your Genohunters automatically absorb the left over meat, thus ingesting the genes of that particular creature.
