For anime fans Anime Expo is one of the growing household names for conventions to attend not only in the US but around the world,  showcasing a variety of events and over 41,000 in attendance the expo proves to be one of the leading areas in the industry these days and it's growing at a rapid pace. The show served as one of the largest events worldwide for Japanese Animation and Manga as well as Japanese culture related items with Live Programming Panels dedicated to expanding the grasp of content that Anime Expo handles and it was all pushed into the Anaheim Convention Center and Hilton.

This year fans were introduced to quite a large variety of items including yet another huge Guest of Honor line-up. Movie debuts were quite a large thing as attendee's could catch the U.S. premiere of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie Conqueror of Shamballa and Patlabor 2: The Movie, also suprising some Azumi also made an appearance and had many left out due to a full showing. Programming such as AX Idol and the Masquerade once again packed the house with quite a large variety of content as well as many other programs such as the AMV contest and much more. Fans were able to also catch panels with their favorite Guests of Honor such as CLAMP, Seiji Mizushima, Vic Mignogna, Laura Bailey, Mick Takeuchi, Yutaka Izubuchi, Tomoki Kyoda, Koge-Donbo, Romi Park, Hiroshi Nagahama, Atsuko Nakajima, yozuca, Mana, Noboru Ishiguro, Toru Furuya and of course the ever popular Crispin Freeman in this 15th Anniversary Celebration for Anime Expo.

To help wrap up the madness AX2006 also included a huge array of Live Programming, Cosplay events, Video Rooms including Midnight Madness and gaming opportunities for arcade gamers, console gamers and even tabletop gaming fans. Yes indeed this year was packed with quite a large assortment of feature items for everyone to take part in. With everything so closely wrapped together the show served as a fast paced but easy access year for everyone including cosplayers as they didn't have to hit a large amount of hotels in hopes of attending every panel or video room they wanted to try and see in hopes of making it on time.
