Nice, gonna have to check it out when it arrives, nonstop violence as wolverine isn't something you see everyday. Kinda nice to know they broke away from the movie as well.

I just hope that in the end it defeats the movie gaming curse. D:

It actually sounds pretty good. Most Wolverine games so far treat his claws like bats- good to see theres actually going to be some blood and slicing in this game.

Neoseeker got invited to Activision on April 22 to preview the X-Men Origins game.
Curious to know what we thought of the game?
Here's our first impressions from the preview event.

RCG, may I suggest you make a thread similar to this on the PS3 section side for those who don't frequent both versions?

Anyway, thanks for the article.
I was already looking to get this for the PS3, but after reading this, I may go to this new video game store that open months ago within walking distance(play@trade or something) to pre-order this title. I have like 80% of the cash now to do it, but might as well Preorder it in now.

As for the pre-order bonus's I was hoping they would be available regardless of that, and thanks to the article clarification, the decision to get it has been made.

Just a question: Is the body dismemberment, assuming you played the 360 NG2 game, is it similar to that but less blood? Or is it different?

I discovered some Marvel Paperback Novels and the most represented is... Wolverine.

Wolverine has 6
Fantastic Four/Spider-Man have 4 each
X-men/Ultimates Have 2 each

I actually was most interested in the Ultimates ones but I have been reading Weapon X and really it's likely a huge influence on this game... he uses some guns in the book but he fights multiple helicopters.

Note we played the debug copy, so there could be more blood in the final product.
Violence is more "realistic" than in NGII, though I wouldn't use that word to seriously describe either game.
So right now, I would tentatively say there is slightly less blood in X-Men Origins.

Also, I have posted this on the PS3 forums as well.
Thanks for the suggestion, FB.

No prob RCG. I figured since those versions usually end up similar(even though I knew you'd play the 360 version )that others who don't frequent the other sections might be interested. I know your article helped made my decision easier.

Is the debug copy like a demo of the game? Cause the only time I've heard debug used within a game would be like a debug code on games, like cheats.
Anyway, i'm sure the final build will have good enough blood for my liking. I'd use believability personally then "realistic" but that's me.

Looking pretty sweet so far. I hope this title lives up to my expectations for the franchise! Also, it's good to hear that the pre-order bonsues can be unlocked in the game organically.

RabidChinaGirl previewed the pre-production version of the game (a "beta", if you like).

Oh a beta, didn't even think that could be it. Although, since i'm a technical nub, I wouldn't think of that being called a debug version.

Ok, I heard that if you beat the game then want to play on a harder difficulty it resets your kills and everything so you have to star a whole new game.

But lets say you stick on one difficulty, can you replay levels? How does it work?

I ask partially cause I just finished Star Wars:TFU and you have to play through the whole game if you miss a Holocron or something. You can't select a single level. (But you do have all your upgrades and things you already collected.)

So then say I play through Wolverine (Which I own but am holding back til I see the movie) if I miss a costume statue or dogtag, can I play single levels again or what?
